Cadillac Ranch

One of ten Cadillacs, all buried face down on The Cadillac Ranch, found in Amarillo, Texas.

Created in 1974 by Chip Lord, Hudson Marquez and Doug Michels, who were a part of the art group Ant Farm. Ten Cadillacs representing the evolutions of the car line from 1949 to 1963. They all face west, at an angle corresponding to that of the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt.

I’ve heard of this place, but never been. Love the image, but I think I’ve seen enough and won’t be going:-)
